Serious about sustainability

We’re looking for companies as serious about sustainability as we are.

  • Not greenwashing
  • Not looking for a badge for their website
  • Not happy to settle for the minimum

People who genuinely want to make a difference.

Our triple impact model

Innocence’s unique process means we’re providing
a 3-step sustainability impact.

By creating a polyester polyol from plastic waste that is normally hard to recycle, we are

  1. reducing the waste of our upstream suppliers
  2. reducing our own CO2 emissions (less than a fossil-based polyol producer)
  3. reducing the carbon footprint of our downstream customers

Why our
industry needs to try harder

It can sometimes feel uneasy working in the construction industry. On the one hand, we are making essential products that will improve the quality of life for ordinary people. On the other hand, we know it has a heavy environmental impact.

According to the Ministry of Environment:

  • About 50% of the world’s natural resources and 40% of unprocessed energy is used in buildings and construction.
  • Globally, the construction sector produces about 35% of greenhouse gas emissions and 30% of waste.
  • Land use and raw material consumption related to construction have major impacts on both the natural environment and climate.

It can also seem that our practices are ‘set in stone’. An inevitable way of running our business.

However, The Ministry of Environment adds that, “The circular economy creates huge opportunities for the real estate and construction sector to mitigate climate change and prevent the loss of biodiversity. Processes such as reuse and recycling save natural resources and reduce the emissions and waste generated in the manufacture of new products.”

This is where Inosence can help you make a difference.

Inosence Polyester Polyol Is Different

Because we use PET from reliable sources in Europe our source material:

  • Upcycles difficult to recycle plastic
  • Doesn’t require agricultural land
  • Locally sourced (EU)

This reduces the need for fossil fuel products and reduces the carbon footprint of transport. It means our polyol is one of the most sustainable on the market.

Inosence V Virtual Sustainables

Trying To Do Better

Inosence has been focused on sustainability for more than a decade. We’ve done the hard work establishing the necessary technologies, techniques and infrastructure that make us leaders in the field.

But just like you, we are always trying to improve our systems so we can reduce our carbon footprint even more.

We are regularly reviewing our process with a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). Our last was in 2024; however, this will soon be renewed as we have since reduced our environmental impact by further removing waste.

40% recycled content in our product means a significant reduction in our carbon footprint, and it could also be in yours.
