Inosence Polyol Oy has received significant recognition for its responsibility work. In the Kasvu Open program we received the prestigious Responsibility Action 2025 recognition.
Kasvu Open is Finland’s largest sparring program for growth companies, offering networks and tools for companies seeking growth. This year, Inosence Polyol was one of 165 companies participating in the program, and we are privileged to be part of this inspiring community.
In addition to valuable experiences, we were awarded the Responsibility Award at the Kasvu Open Carnival in Jyväskylä on October 29, 2025. The award, presented by Nordea, is given annually to a company whose business operations are driven by responsibility.
Inosence Polyol was selected for the award from among 30 companies. Marko Nieminen, Nordea’s Community & Employee Engagement Manager and member of the jury, justified the selection with Inosence Polyol’s contribution to promoting the circular economy.
“The circular economy is at the heart of the company’s business. The company utilizes used PET plastic waste and transforms waste material into a valuable resource. Its operations demonstrate strong growth potential and an ambitious attitude: the goal is to achieve a significant position in the international market,” Nieminen said.
Inosence Polyol joined the program to seek sparring and new ideas for business development. The recognition was a delightful surprise.
“Winning the competition was not our initial goal. But the recognition is a sign that we are doing things right,” says factory manager Ronja Ryyppö.
Vision: Utilizing Household Plastic Waste
The Responsibility Action 2025 recognition highlights the growing importance of responsibility in our business. It also encourages us to continue our work to promote the circular economy, which is at the core of our operations.
Our recycled polyol is used in the manufacture of PIR insulation. These are among the most efficient and versatile insulation materials on the market and reduce the environmental impact of the construction industry.
In addition, we are currently involved in a project funded by Business Finland, in which we are researching the utilization of household waste plastic as a raw material in the circular economy. The goal is to further process waste plastic and reduce the amount of waste globally.
Sami Häkkinen, CEO of Inosence Polyol, illustrates the company’s impact with a concrete example.
“Since 2020, we have used 2.4 million kilograms of waste and recycled plastic, from which our customers have produced 620,000 cubic meters of insulation. That amount would fill 250 Olympic swimming pools.”
